Join Us At Peoples Library New Kensington For STEM Wednesdays!

January 2018 Children’s Calendar Throughout January, young scientists in First Grade and younger are invited to participate in a new STEM project each week! We will be learning about various branches of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math through craft projects! All necessary building materials will be provided.

Wednesday, January 3rd, 4 PM – Parachutes!
(Using properties of physics and gravity, construct and test parachutes for toys!)

Wednesday, January 10th, 4 PM – Glowing Puff Paint Moon!
(Exploring outer space and astronomy, create your own glowing moon!)

Wednesday, January 17th, 4 PM – Skyscrapers!
(Applying engineering and math to design the tallest building!)

Wednesday January 31st, 4 PM – Volcano!!!
(Using earth science and chemistry, craft your own exploding volcano!)
