Simple Gifts – Spoon Playing Workshop
@Peoples Library Lower Burrell
Linda Littleton and Karen Hirshon will teach participants of all ages to play spoons. They are following the Appalachian tradition where two teaspoons are held in one hand and played as a percussion instrument. Simple Gifts will introduce the rudiments of arranging music; when to play loud or quiet, how to vary the rhythm, and how to choose sounds that match the music.
